welcome Valter

Open the red hood (4 screws at the back - at the sides just the ones in the front, not the ones with the washers, just untighten these a little and two at the button, right under the ModWheel and the other halfway)
Open it and just beneath the long fuse holder you'll find a switch 120 - 240. Set it in the right position.
Then you have to change the fuse also. Search this forum which value. I'll search too Smile

Hey dude's. I have a very similar issue.

I've just moved to America from New Zealand and I have brought my NordLed 2x with me. Do I basically have to do the same thing just the other way? Now, I have never soldered or changed fuses before in my life. I'm actually a beginner at all this high tech stuff, but with time I hope I'll get into the swing of things. If you guys or anybody could let me know what to do I would be very very greatful.

Cheers dude's

Valter..... You are a king among men!!!

I'm gonna have a go at it today. Thank you so much.
1 more thing dude. My power adaptor that came with my NL 2x is (I think) the european style adators. Which reads on the adaptor 2.5A 250V. It has 2 straight out prongs (please forgive my poor description). Which came with a small NZ adaptor on it. Would I be right in saying that after I sought out the voltage/fuse change on my NL 2x that all I have to do is buy a simple USA adator to go the European style plug? I have seen them at a place called radioshack here. Or will I have sort something else out!

Hopefully this makes some sense. Cheers dude

Just use the adapter. I don't have a NordLead2X, but I assume it has a separated power cable. Isn't it possible to get a new cable using the right connection plugs?

Where I'm staying at the moment is like the movie Deliverence dude. I went to the local music store here and asked them for help and - A. they barely understood my accent (which I can kinda understand) B. They didn't know what I was talking about when i said Nord or Clavia until I said the "bright red" keyboards - C. They were kinda rude!

So until I get of here I gotta find other ways to do things ya know! Which this forum is already helping out thanx to its fine community!!!

I let ya know if I blow up all my gear. Haha!

if you don't want to take the cover off your nord I am pretty sure you can get a device to sit between the socket and the plug to take care of the voltage conversion.

Hey Wout. Just got back from sight seeing/looking at places to live here and are about to get into my NLD2X!!!

Went down to the local RadioShack to get a fuse. I had taken my fuse which reads, 125ma - 250V, and told them I needed 115/125V - 250ma. Is that correct? They basically tried to sell me the exact same thing even after I told them that mine was not broken. They also said that what I actually needed was a 0.25ma 250V. And also that they had never heard of one like that Evil or Very Mad

They did how ever have a plug, which is exactly like mine but for america. Which is 10amps and my original is only 2.5amps. Would that be ok once everything is sorted? i hope you aint getting sick of me yet Laughing

Are still talking about the fuse? 10 Ampere is by no way 250 milliAmpere...

Yes that is correct. The voltage of the fuse doesn't matter as long as it's more than 110 V it's OK. What does matter is the 250 mA bit and the size of course (the thing must fit) and that the fuse is a slow blow (T) type.

It is of course possible that the shop folks never heard of such a thing, but this is a bit odd for a shop selling electronics.

A 10 A rating for a power cable/plug is no problem, as long as it fits. The rule here is that there is a minimum Amperage for the cable/plug only (except that higher rated cables/plugs are thicker/larger and get impractical for really high current (Ampere) values).

Hey dudes.

Yeah wout, I was talking about my power cable/plug. the one I purchased fits into my NLD2X but was worried about the readings on it as it was different to my original. I also got a usa adaptor just as a back up as well. Is there any specific 1 I should use dudes? My original power cable with the adaptor or the new power cable?

Thanks alot for helping out too Blue Hell. Pretty much all their fuses were 250V. I got confused as they were all like, 1.0a, 1.5a, 2.0a etc etc and I was looking for one stating 200ma, 250ma etc. The fuses I was looking at were all the same size as the one in my NLD2X. Ok. Would I be right in getting a fuse that is 250V - 2.5a or 0.25a? Sorry to be a pain in the ass dudes Laughing

Ah! The power cable! Well, I was just tired playing the double bass yesterday evening, so I misunderstood. Gladly there's always Blue Hell Cool

0.25A = 0.250A = 250mA.
2.5A = 2.500A = 2500mA.
Any clue? Wink

Hi Wout,

I'm having a similar problem to the posts from Nord Lead 2X owners above. I bought a 2X off eBay that appears to be from the United States. I am in the United Kingdom and want to use the keyboard here. The voltage information at the back of the keyboard looks like this:

Posted Image

The fuse inside the keyboard looks like this:

Posted Image

The fuse also states:3/10A 250V 313

I have followed your instructions in the tutorial by opening up the keyboard and changing the switch from 115V to 230V. Please tell me - is this the correct fuse to be using or should I be using something else?

I assume you've been in the sticky thread already?
http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-29716.html
If so you know the fuse is only the end of the story...

3/10A means 'three-tenth Ampère' or 0.3A = 300mA

Change it to 230V - 125mA (or 150mA), after you set the internal switch richt!

Thanks Wout - yes I did read the sticky topic on this, but the fuse I had was not marked in a language I could understand.

I have since gone to the electrical shop up the road from me and gave them your fuse recommendation - the gave me a 230V 150mA fuse, but it was smaller than the original one. The guy said it would still work.... Well, I fitted it in the keyboard and it's still not lighting up. Would the size of the fuse make a difference even if the the specs are correct?

Apparently Wink

You can just put in the old fuse as long as you don't have a fitting one, the old one has too large a value not giving full protection in the case of a device malfunction, but it will work.

Blue Hell - thanks for your advice, though not sure what you mean by I can use the old one? The old one has the incorrect ampage.

I've attached this image to show you the size of the fuses. The new 150mA fuse is on the right and the old incorrect one is on the left. The new one doesn't fit properly in the holder as it's too small. Should I be looking for a fuse the same size as the old one? Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the exact fuse that I need?
