Subject description: when Playing Monophonic Patches Legato Style
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

This bug is a little obscure – but it is consistent and I find it very annoying mad, short circuit . While playing any monophonic patch legato style from higher notes to lower notes with the sustain pedal or keyboard hold engaged, upon releasing the last key played and then releasing sustain pedal or keyboard hold, the pitch of the osc’s will jump from the last note played to a higher note previously played. Any patch volume EG release time greater than zero will allow this undesirable pitch jump to be heard. Oddly, when playing legato from lower to higher notes, this pitch jump bug does not occur.

Note – I’m running my G2X with the version 1.40 OS.

Just hitting this bug after owning my G2X for 20+ years!

Patch is "Mono" (but happens with "Legato" as well), sustain pedal enabled in patch settings, envelope with long release, oscillators "KB" enabled: playing notes while holding down the sustain pedal, stop playing with pedal down, then release pedal: the pitch jumps to the highest-played note!

The only way to work around it is to ensure you hold your last note BEFORE you let go of the sustain pedal, or toggle the sustain while holding the last note.
