June Solstice Concert Subject description: signup is closed |
 |
|
Calendar Event: June 20, 2026 It's getting too warm here, Magpie fledglings are making a ruckus outside and I am a bit tired so best I can do is hand out some balloons
..,and of course if you are available and want to play & stream live music during the upcoming June Solstice concert
then please come and join us by signing up below.
This event will be on electro-music radio on Saturday June 20th, 2026.
It will start somewhere around 15:00 GMT and end whenever it is over depending on the number of participants.
The schedule can be found in the wiki and threads to previous events can be found here.
As always, if you are interested in performing, please copy/paste this Sign-Up template and post in this thread:
1. Preferred Start Time (Please use GMT/Military Time):
2. Set Length (30 or 60 minutes):
3. Artist Name (For displaying on the poster):
4. Chat Name (if different from artist/forum name):
5. Location (City/State/Country - Optional):
6. Description (Style/Genre/Equipment, etc. - Optional):
7. Website Address (Optional):
8. Anything else you like to mention:
For reference, this clock could be useful:
First Time Streamers Please Read:
Please review the Electro Music Copyright Policy
Please note: "Preferred Start Time". We will do the best that we can to accommodate people to their requested times. However, please be flexible because this event will have European and American musicians in many different time zones. Time slots will be on a semi-"first come-first served" basis. Furthermore, please post your time in GMT. The handy clock should make it simple. However, we do use military/24 hour time. It will undoubtedly be an international event and GMT is the only way to coordinate such events.
As in the past, the chat room will serve as an invaluable communication tool for set up, streaming, and connecting to those listening....and it's just a lot of silly fun! I suggest participants get familiar with it in advance, if you aren't already.
If you want a recording of your set, it would be prudent to record your own set, rather than depend on others. Accidents and mistakes happen...especially in this format. There are many ways to record your set, either thru the stream app or record your stream from your mixer on the signal path to the computer.
Performers MUST stream at 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz , stereo.
more info about broadcasting on radio.electro-music.com can be found here.
It is IMPERATIVE that everyone test their connections before we start streaming. At least 24 hours before but sooner is preferred. Sorry, but we can not guarantee that musicians will be allowed to stream if you do not test 24 hours before hand. Not only does it delay the schedule, but causes unneeded stress on performer, server operator, and audience during performance time. Join the chat room for testing and help setting up.

I got news today that I can end care for my mother and be electro-active again soon, in about three weeks .. mom's eye doc gave her a medication scheme a lilttle more comfy for me, and for her ..
I'll probably sign up and will then stream op too .. but will wait a bit to make a definitive move.
Anyway, there may be some later testing needed for the radio stuff on the new server - we'll see and -

You can connect to the chat and see if someone is around to listen to you port.
You will want to be on the chat for the streaming evening as well, all communication will be there.
You can connect to the chat using the "Chat Room" link from the forum, in the upper right.
You can also install a stand-alone IRC client on your computer or phone and then connect to
ircs:/irc.swartzel.nl/electro
which uses the channel
#electro
For some more info see : https://electro-music.com/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Site.Chatroom |

Also, there's something new I learned from mosc yesterday in the chat:
"You can try that link too for the description you want displayed while you are connected during the concert" [on the streaming radio page]
https://electro-music.com/radio/edit_my_description.php
login:
your port
password: public
"You can include a picture... The picture has to be a url though. You can get that by attaching a picture in a PM to yourself."
EDIT: I tried an URL from my own server... seems to work, too. |

Scotland, Netherlands and Germany...
I'll have finished by that time
EDIT: I was wrong! Scotland plays at 00:00 CEST the night before Last edited by deleted_user on Fri Jun 19, 2026 12:24 pm; edited 4 times in total |

Attention performers. The new Performer's Information editor is available. This is, in my opinion, a big improvement in our streaming concerts. Now you can edit exactly what will appear on the radio page when you are switched to be on the air. This will make our concerts more enjoyable for our listeners.
Check it out, you can use it as soon as you are given your port number and password.
