Hello all,

Sorry if this is in the wrong section...i couldn't find anywhere more relevant! Smile

I've been wanting to work with a lyricist for come time now for some of my songs. I'm an electronic musician making breaks/dubstep/drum n bass inspired tunes (check out some examples at my website) and have been toying with shouting some stuff over some of them! Needless to say, i'm not great at this!! Not so much the delivery, but actually coming up with lyrics that aren't total shiz!

For example, on a recent tune i've been working on that's a drum n bass type song, for a rapping section of the song i came up with this...

All these people looking like a sea, all these faces looking at me,
I don't know who you want me to be, shouting pretentious bullshit like other MC's?
Nah, i just know how to give it loud, hardcore drum n bass for the crowd,
I'm proud, musically i'm well endowed and allowed to step up to your face and go pow!

And for a chorus/singing section i have...

I know, you know,
I know that you know that,
I don't know,
Where to go from here,

It all fits in the song well and scans fine, but to be honest i think its really cheesy!! This is why i'd like to work with someone who was a lot better at writing lyrics, cos i just don't cut it! If someone is interested we could chat a little more over email and i could email some musical examples to you. Hope someone out there can help!
