Toshiba motherboard repair

I have a Toshiba M35X-S309 laptop. Some time ago, I replaced the power jack on the motherboard, but accidentally burned off a couple of resistors nearby. While the laptop worked, it has burned two hard drives and the battery does not charge at all. I'm assuming that those resistors are related to this.

Come to think of it, I may have created a short and the resistors might not be all that important.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone around here has any experience with replacing resistors on mobos and if there is a way to determine what rating those resistors were.
