Blue_hell mentioned on the chat tonight: "electro-music income situation is a bit troublesome".
So I ordered a T-shirt and the Mega Percussion Synthesizer board.
I post this to remind you all to visit the shop, make a donation or suggest ways to generate income for EM. |

And I finally got my thumbs out and ordered 2 MPSs, a Klee and a couple of CDs. Been meaning to do this for a long time...

It would be a good idea to make the store items more visible to the forum members. Now I have to click on the little Store link to get there.
The available PCBs are promoted in the DIY forum, and that works, I think.
What about putting some ads for the items in the forum? Schmooze, Online Music and Introduction are great places to put something like this: http://lmao.rotfl.at/upload/Borislav/Screenshot-1.png

Thanks for pointing this out, electri-fire.
E-M.com is one of the coolest spots on the net. IMO
I'm ALWAYS listening to the radio station here..
I'd be happy to set up a recurring payment through paypal...say 5 dollars a month ??? something like that..
Just a suggestion ~ I think if enough people did this it would be a great help.
Now, where do I order one of those snazzy t-shirts?

Howard & Jan..... just popped a wee donation thru paypal on the home page .
Without electro-music , i would have struggled to complete any of my more ambitious DIY synth / drum modules & projects and in turn these DIY builds have been the source of nearly all the music i've had aired on EM radio shows , Epicyclus & Orchard.
Many thanks for this site, it's a life saver when building circuits.

| Money is something I always have to pinch, but when I'm ready to look for DIY stuff, I'll definitely look here first. I'd also be happy to plug the EM store wherever I'm online (Facebook, Twitter, audiodef.com, MySpace, etc., etc.). Please let me know what a good ad format would be. |

This thread happened a little unexpected as a result of some things I've been saying in the electro-music chatroom yesterday. It is a subject though that was meant to be brought into public space at some some time ... best by Howard though, him knowing all the ins and outs |

I think I had trouble checking out as well, a couple of months ago. Luckily the CDs I ordered then were still in my basket yesterday, so when I added more stuff I took those as well, and this time I managed to pay for the goods.

I would like to encourage anyone who is working on a circuit board or other product via the electro-music forum to work out some kind of donation arrangement once the board is past the prototyping stage. I'm working on two boards and a guitar kit and I plan to split the profits with electro-music.
In fact, it's a good idea to ask mosc (Howard) if he would like to offer your electro-music supported product in the store. The site gets over four million hits a month, so you'll probably sell a lot more of your products if mosc puts them in the store. That way you'll not only make more profit, but support electro-music as well.

Decided to put down my soldering iron for the evening and check in. I'm building a Klee Sequencer and two MPS modules. I also posted a track here yesterday.
This community has really inspired me and has helped me rekindle my energy and enthusiasm for electronic music. It is really hard to put a price on this.
Anyway, I just made a donation with gratitude for Howard and many, many friends I've made here. _________________ -- Kevin

| Les, I'd still like to buy one of those Fender magneto-kit thingies, at your asking price. I just want to know if it will fit on a Squier II. |

It should but there has been a delay in the kit availability. See this thread:
http://www.electro-music.com/forum/topic-39603.html
for the latest news about the kit. If you want a "small signal kit", or a "transformer based kit", then I can put one together for you quickly.

Wow, this is an overwhelming expression of support. Thanks for the donations. They are a huge help.
I'm thinking of having some sort of premium or supporting membership. I'm going to start a new topic about this to keep things clean. _________________ --Howard

Maybe instead of establishing the equivalent of the House of Lords you can just do a donation drive with premiums once or twice a year like PBS.(only maybe a tad less annoying) |
