Here's our set from Aug 2, 2025. Again Bill is in Nazareth, Pennsylvania and I'm am in Durham, North Carolina. We use Ninjam software in the Reaper DAW.

Sadly, Bill's cousin, Jerry, was badly injoured in a recent automobile vs. bicycle accident. This one's dedicated to him, wishing him all the best.

And now for something a bit different. Here's Twyndyllyngs August 23, 2026 set on Chez Mosc. Bill and I are preparing for the upcoming NEEMfest in New York next month. This time I restricted myself to just the equipment I'm planning on using then. Next week Bill will also do this.

My equipment consisted of:

Osmose
Roli Seaboard
iPad
Zoom L6 mixer
Electric Ukulele and Walarus Qi effects pedal

I used the L6 to record our parts. 32 bit floating point is a huge help. This mixer, recorder, audio interface is a gem, IMHO.

So, this was a bit of a rehearsal. I like this set. It has a symphonic aura similar to Twyndyllyngs from 10 or 15 years ago. Yes, we have been playing together for about 20 years.

We hope you enjoy this.,

Here is Twyndyllyngs' September 27, 2025 live stream on the Chez Mosc program. It was a rare session where neither Bill nor I had no significant technical problems. Also, there was nothing to edit!

For this session, I rearranged my studio a bit by stacking my Nord Stage, Osmose and Roli Seaboard. Also close at hand was my iPad and my Zoom L6 mixer. The computer running my DAW and streaming software, Nimjam, is to my left, not shown in this picture.

We hope you enjoy listening.

Twyndyllyngs was off the air for a few weeks, but we're back - still in separate states. Here is the set from November 15, 2025. No edits except trim of start and ending.

Hope you enjoy.

Greetings,

Just as a backup, I record each Chez Mosc as a safety copy. Since Reaper blew away Howard's recording, here's a straight mix I did from my perspective.

Cheers,

Here's the performance of Twyndyllyngs from December 20, 2025. This one was post processed a lot. It turned out to be a 4 voice canon, more or less. It reminds me of sets we did about 15 years ago that have the feeling of floating down a river through different sonic environments. This is more like a train ride perhaps.

As is usual lately, Bill was in Pennsylvania and I was in North Carolina. The collaboration software was Ninjam.

We hope you enjoy it.

Here is our 2026 New Years set which Twyndyllyngs played live. Unfortunately something happened during the stream and about 15 minutes of our set didn't make it through to the listeners. We have no clue about that.

Anyway, Bill and I wish everyone a very happy new year. May 2026 be better than the previous year.

We missed a week after the NYE concert. Here is Twyndyllyngs, Bill Fox and Howard Moscovitz, set from Jan, 10, 2026. As usual I was in North Carolina and Bill was in Pennsylvania. I had some technical problems so we started about 15 minutes late.

This one came out nice, IMHO. Bill and I have been playing together for 24 years now and sometimes it amazes me that we come up with something different.

We hope you enjoy listening to this.

Here's tonight's Chez Mosc program featuring Twyndyllyngs, Bill Fox and Howard Moscovitz, as usual. 2026 is our 24th year of playing together. Each week, almost, we play live for about one hour. Some weeks life steps in and we can't do it, but we do pull it off most of the time. During the covid epidemic I moved down to Durham, North Carolina and we have continued to play together over the internet using Ninjam software (free). We live about 463 miles, 745 kilometers, apart but that hasn't stopped us. We have learned to adapt to the latency.

I think this week was a special set because this recording has zero edits. No clicks, wolf tones, glaring mistakes, or unintended dropouts, and not a single level adjustment.

Tonight we are buckling down for this year's "Storm Of The Century" that is going to hit the East Coast over the next few days. With apologies to Bob Dylan, we call this one Shelter From The Storm.

We hope you enjoy it.

Thanks...

Lately my interest in Alexander Zolotov's innovative apps on IOS has been renewed by the release of Low Poly Synth. Last night Bill and I decided to do a little experiment by using only Zolotov's apps for our set. I used only Low Poly Synth and Bill used more, but only Zolotov's. (He did confess that he cheated and used his guitar to play the last chord, a C major. Shocked )

Alelxander's apps are happily unlike other ones. He has his own ideas which are remarkably refreshing. If you're not familiar with his synths, just checkout his website using the link above.

Anyhow, we had a blast restricting ourselves to his apps only. I can't explain what happens when we improvise with them. They are splendid for ambient styles. We played for our usual time of one hour. Most of the times we play I'm somewhat exhausted when we're finished. Last night the opposite happened; I was both relaxed and energized. I can't speak for Bill, but I think he was too.

If you are someone who likes electronic music just to experiment and play around with gear for fun, as opposed to music production and composition, you probably should give these apps a try.

Here's our "Zolotov only set". This is pretty much an air check recording; no edits or adjustments to the mix. These are a few clicks and pops but that's live performance for you.

We hope you enjoy this set. Thank you Alexander Zolotov!

I've just started listening and we're off to a good start. To be honest, I cheated a little bit by using my Akai Headrush H2 looper and the Enso, Spacefield, and Animoog-Z apps on one of my iPads. But I was using them very sparingly and mostly used the Zolotov apps as sound sources. Some were in AUM and some were used as stand-alone. Oh yes, I cheated a little on the last C chord by mixing in a little guitar. But it was mostly a Zolotov app making the chord.

Here's Twyndyllyngs set for February 28, 2026. This time we only played for 1/2 hour. Maybe this is a better length for future streaming concerts. This time we had no "rules" for apps, but I played a lot of Zolotov's Low Poly Synth.

We hope you enjoy it.

Here is an edited version of the Twyndyllyngs, Bill Fox and Howard Moscovitz, set from March 14, 2026. This was a spontaneous performance because we had some dramatic equipment failures when setting up to stream live. There was even a network outage in my studio. I suspect it was one or both of my grandchildren bumping into the router, which is in another room.

We played for an hour. This recording is only about 14 minutes. Why so short this time, you might ask. Sometimes I think hour long performances can be too much. Bill has been asking me for quite some time to prepare some shorter pieces. I invented some new techniques for editing.

Editing is a form of composition, at least in this case.

We hope you enjoy it. As usual, comments are appreciated, but we rarely get them.

It's been a while since I've posted a chez mosc event. Last night Bill and I did another Twyndyllyngs session. We enjoyed doing this one. We've been playing together for 24 years now. Sometimes, to me at least, there is the fear that it will get stale. Lucky for us, we don't have any hit tunes we have to keep playing; we can just play for the moment. That said, some sets are better than others. If I don't care for them particularly, I don't post them.

This one we both like. We hope you like it too.

I use a Nord Stage 2 with the rotary speaker simulator. It's activated by the foot pedal so it starts and stop with ramp up/down sort of automatically. The Stage has a organ synth, but I hardly ever use it. The synth section through the rotary speaker is easier for me because it has envelope and filter.

Here is our set from the June 20, 2026 Solstice Concert. Participating were Bill Fox, Doug Llewellyn and myself, all live in the same room for a change. The technique we used was to play in a series of solos, duets, and a finale trio. Here is the score we used to guide our improvisations.

Here is a sceenshot of the image that appeared when we were on the air with our live steam. We used the new performer's information editor. https://electro-music.com/forum/topic-74950.html

We had a great time. We hope you enjoy the recording.

Here is Twyndyllyngs set from last night, August 15, 2026.
This is an unedited recording. The upload is FLAC only this time. In a way, this is an experiment on how the new Icecast system on electro-music.com can handle this format both on dedicated streams, and on the radio.

This is a nice mellow session. It lasts about 56 minutes.

We hope you enjoy it.

Set from August 22, 2026 by Twyngyllyngs. Bill Fox in Nazareth, Pennsylvania and Howard Moscovitz in Durham, North Carolina. Again, separated by about 400 miles and playing via Nimjam software.

This one took us a while to get started, so it's only 42 minuites in length. Upload is in FLAC format.

We hope you enjoy it.

Twyndyllyngs Live on Chex Mosc, August 29, 2026. Bill Fox and Howard Moscovitz again streaming from Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

This time, we used an update of the Nimjam program which gave us much better audio quality. We have been using a low latency connection in the past called voice chat. The latest version allows for this to be 320 kbs. When we are playing I hear Bill much more clearly.

I was having all sorts of problems with the drivers for my audio interface. It took about one hour to sort it out. We started about 15 minutes late. I didn't have a chance to load up patches; just ran with what I could load up on the fly,

Anyhow, this one came out quite good, IMHO. It didn't start this way, but it evolved into a very symphonic classical type of vibe. Other than trimming a bit off of the beginning, there were no edits, no click removal, no level adjustmenst. This is as close to a live air-check as we can do.

I wonder what Beethoven would have come up with if he had as much patience as we do. Shocked

This upload is in FLAC format.

We hope you enjoy.

Thanks to Howard, I never would have updated Reaper which came with the updated Ninjam. 320kbps is almost imperceptible from uncompressed that I'm now sounding as good as possible.

Here is Twyndyllyngs set from September 12, 2026. We were using minimal equipment this time because we're going to Neemfest 2026 next weekend. This was a bit of a rehearsal for that event. I'm flying from Durham to Syracuse and to save a few dollars I'm only going with carry-on baggage.

I've been experimenting with FLAC encoding parameters. This time I used the resample mode r8brain free. It makes rendering in Reaper much faster.
