I don't mean "can get high pitched", the base tones of both are very high. The "high" is currently unusable.
I thought this circuit responded to 0 to 5v control voltages, but that's not the case at all. (Shoulder shrug) probably my fault, but I dunno how to fix that.
The level function nullifies cV response now with it fully turned either way. Offset seems to limit the same way as well.
The pitch tracker's effect is phenomenal. ***** 5 gold stars.*****
The "slide " function is extremely transformative. The poor PLL is trying to interpret the saw wave I'm feeding it as rapid pitch changes, the various outs making very different sounds . because it's interpreting it as rapid pitch changes, the CV out sounds l"canike a sine wave almost. I accidentally hooked up the output and was pleasantly surprised.
Would there be a way to rig the circuit to have a wider response, without other feature sacrifice, i.e. log curves be damed ?

Yes you should be able to get the ful range with a CV of 0..5V but that does of course depend on the setting of the offset pot.
You could do a simple test and just use a pot connected betwen +12V and GND and connect that directly to the CV input to see
how it responds.
Attached is a quick range demo (manually adjusted) of one of the 4046 VCO's in my lunetta so you could compare with that.

lol wut that's a comment I would expect on a Look Mum No Computer video.
I am just a guy who builds some things. But thanks! it's appreciated.
The recording was made by manually turning the offset pot as I can't get to my patch cables at the moment (found one spare croc lead laying around)
so I have no way to easily hook up a CV source. But the range is the same. The CV input gets amplified 2x so with a 0-5V input you'll get a CV of 0-10V
which should be enough for the 4046. Note that the 4046 starts reacting above 0V (not sure if it was 1V) but you can shift the CV voltage with the offset pot. _________________ "My perf, it's full of holes!" SoundCloudBandCampMixCloudTwitchYouTube The Golden Shrimp Guild
