klockwerk Subject description: a deliberately simple tune made with deliberately simple sounds
I like lo-fi, 8-bit, chiptune, etc. A good lo-fi tune requires some imagination. And much of my favorite lo-fi is lighthearted.
I haven't used such simple sounds since "sputnik" back in 2011 when I started making synth music again.
Lately I've been building layers then removing lines here and there so the listener can more clearly hear the interplay between different sets of lines. I naturally hear the multiple layers that way because my attention keeps shifting. I sometimes try to demonstrate this changing interplay with phasing and slow panning of different parts. My tune "pan" is a good example of this technique. (It just now occurred to me to use a different slow LFO on the amp of different tracks in a tune to make the parts slowly weave in and out of the tune. That'll be a rabid bear to mix right!)
I have some tunes that quickly build to multiple layers then just keep repeating for a couple of minutes. I'm afraid that listeners will find them too repetitive. But my attention drifts and focuses on different sets of parts each time around. To me, those tunes are ever-changing, like Pachelbel's Canon in D.
Does anyone else hear complex repeated music differently each time around? Or do I just have a loose brain?

Yes, although it needs some imagination on headphones ... it is very much left righ split ... probably works best on speakers. Still very nice tho ... just like the previous one you posted.
