Summer Solstice 2012

EdisonRex · Posted: Sun Jun 24, 2012 2:42 am Post subject:

Here's mine.

It used the analog side of the studio extensively. During the performance, I played Eigenharp for most of it except the EWI solo.

Oh, and there's the studio too.

Thanks for another awesome event! Enough great never-heard-before music to make your head spin.

Thanks to Paul and all who helped organise, performers and chatters.

Attaching my set, a split personality thing that occasionally was a bit more far out than I liked, but that's live performance for you.

/Stefan

A really great day.
Thanks to Paul and Jan for organising a great concert and to everyone who performed - a really nice mix of music and all really good!

I used the baritone tuned guitar (and several pedals) to make some drones.
This went into Ableton Live with other piano and synth drones from Reason.
They were heavily processed to make rhythms and other sounds.

Here is an mp3 of my performance yesterday.
I started recording shortly before I went on air and continued for a few minutes afterwards. That's why it is longer than 30 minutes.

I will include this on my new album, so you'll be able to get flac or whatever you want later today from http://bingsatellites.bandcamp.com/album/the-continuing-adventures-of-peter-jelp (the link will not work until then)

I'm sorry I was too sick to participate this time. I hope it went well for everyone. I plan to listen to postings as soon as I'm better.

In the meantime, I would like to know from you all if it would be OK to play your sets on Synthetronica Radio. I won't add anything without permission.

First, Damien, please get better, we missed you in the performances and in the chat room.

I had a wonderful time as well and thank all the organizers once again for a fine LIVE internet concert.

Look forward to seeing all my friends at electro-music 2012 Cool

Sincerely
Bill "State Machine" Manganaro

Thank you all again for bearing with me on this one. It is important to me to remember history lest we repeat it.

My piece exactly as I played it is here:

Think of it as an audible memorial.

Sincerely,

I posted a remix of my piece, Dark Side of the Sun here http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-54316.html

The original recording had some dropouts caused by local computer hiccups.

I listened most of the sets. The performances were quite good, and there was a great deal of variety. Thanks to all of the participants. Looking forward to the next streaming concert celebration of whatever.
