The Eleventh Hour #8 (Feb 19th, 2012)
=Acid TrasH= Live Performance
Even under some heavy stuff going on, we still manged to perform.
i'm not sure of what to think of this one yet....
BUT One of my favorite pieces came out of this!!
We ended up calling it "Halogenated", and there's just something about this part. The way the "melody" chimes in and gives this release to the previous tension. Just love it.
Then give a close listen after..
Theres intricate layers of manipulated whispers woven delicately, yet it's possible you could totally miss it on a casual listen.
i REALLY REALLY DIG IT

On this show, i play a variety of music different sources. Featuring some from the FaceBook group members of "Contact Group of Homemade Experimental Music".
i had just got back into town from doing a public performance, and my mind was MELTED. While it felt like a trainwreck to me, others thought otherwise.
Track list for Episode March 4th:
Hal McGee:Microphone Diaries Excerpt (Daily snippets of LIFE: Brilliant idea IMO)
Disfigured Robot Child:Lavender Town
BreakDancing Ronald Reagen:Jared Loughner Lullaby-Acid Trash REMIX
Jodokatz: Doomstep Kuntstep
Hal McGee:Microphone Diaries Excerpt
Jukka Pekka: SandBox
Jukka Pekka: Osmosis Bag
Jukka Pekka: Too Cold

Finer Points of Sadism: Hitting The Corner
Viinikivi (Terry Childers): Like a Winestone Cowboy
NXFXEX: I Seriously Fucking HATE Dubstep
WinterBound: Ancient Bones among Ruins of Ancient Architecture
Acid TrasH:Excerpt of something
Tune in this Sunday..it just might turn out excellent!
For half the show, We'll be doing some live remixing of Break Dancing Ronald Reagan for an upcoming release where we've taken BDRR's harsh noise, remixed it, and added our own flair to it. This will be part of out First physical release through a micro label
ALSO, we will either be performing the material prepared for the public show, OR will be attempting Acid Trash's first intentional ambient work!![/b]

Eleventh Hour Episode 10
---Live Improvisation by Acid Trash---
Started the recording a lil late, about 5 minutes missing from beginning.
Also, ONLY the first half is posted here, because as mentioned in previous post, the material from the the 2nd Half is going to be edited and used in an upcoming release.
Some good parts in this one, and a few magic moments.
Finding it interesting that each AT performance has a different feel to it.
Next time will be no exception, FOR SURE!!

The Eleventh Hour #11 (5-1-12)-AMBIENT Acid TrasH
Ambient music is something i have a really hard time doing (chronic button pusher, ADHD, etc.) but thought it would be a good exercise for us..new terrain to explore.
i personally use Ambient to help with the ADHD, and most of the time, it works great to help calm down and FOCUS.
But creating my own has been challenging...but luckily, theres folks here that are already creating quality Ambient tracks!!
So here is our first attempt/experiment at exploring the softer side.
Quite a bit different than what we usually do

Remixing of electro-music.com tracks.
i loved this set...but dont know if others liked it or not.
Will post track list once figured out what i did
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright, think i've at least got the tracks used.
The order isn't necessarily correct, because many times the material was from tracks that were an hour long, and brought back up once and awhile, and some tracks were used more than once.
Pitchshifting and other manipulation sometimes makes it a lil more difficult to pick out.....but regardless, i love this set!!
Big Thanks to everyone who allowed me to play their material!!
mattB.: Getting Things Done (recurs throughout hour)
Blue Hell: It is a Secret
Aejotz: Martians
PlowPyx, Dr. Plown, Plowzilla, Plownomatic: MidiPlown Jam (recurs freq)
Dark Vortex: Outside of Time
alien dub invasion
AEJOTZ: Robot
Blue Hell: Tin Ears
Audiodef: PH Volume 2-3-12
AcidTrasH: Treasure in the Trash
Antimon: Who Am I, Where are my Keys?
i had other tracks in cue, but ran out of time

i've been listening to the last show (e-m mixes/mashup) for the past couple weeks OVER and OVER again. Theres certain parts i just am going bonkers for...seriously inspired me.
The last couple of episode also taught me some things.
i was thinking the mixes would have came out better if i pre-treated the songs with quantization (never used it before) and snapped it all to the grid. That should have made everything match up a bit better.
Never used it before because i rather learn to match things naturally, and on the fly like the Chicago DJ's i grew up listening to...but now i'm thinking maybe a lil pretreatment would tighten things up.
So i dug into the program and have started learning that process.
The Ambient show has been teaching me about leaving open space at times...this will still be a struggle, but it's already started to make our improvisations more dynamic.
Here is the section that just blows my mind.
Think the way it transforms into this melting drone with Blue Hell over the top.......never heard anything like it, seriously in love with this mixture of sounds/technique. Inspired.

Eleventh Hour #14
This was performance by Acid Trash after working in these other areas previously...Tried to leave open spaces, explore dynamics, and did quantization to tighten it up.
Made some mistakes here and there (as always)
but in the end, these new techniques and direction looks promising.
We definitely want to continue developing this sound
Best on headphones.
Improvisation performed by 1:11, Scott K, Mateo

edit: Please note that the first 5 minutes weren't recorded and theres a period of silence from 9:30 through 10:23 due to tech problems.
At 10:24 we restart and try again.

Thank you, Jan!
Looks like i didn't take a break soon enough..
Had strokes, couple "minor" heart attacks.
Luckily damage was minimal and mostly on left side.
Mostly concerned about the hearing loss in left ear, because stereo imaging is important for thick textures.
Got doc appointments this week to check on progress, really hoping the nerves grow back!
Whats crazy is i had signs for a very long time, but didn't know what they meant.
