Well, I've lurked for a while, tried to get a "Feel" for the way this forum works. I'm in the DiyStompboxes forum, too, and a few others.

I'm from Australia. Bendigo, Victoria. 120 Kms NNW of Melbourne.

I'm a 27 year old guy. I'm an electronics engineer (doing my degree after years of working with this adn that). My main loves in Electronic music are

*Casio homekeyboards, pre 1985, MT series mainly, but, others too.
*Yamaha FM Synthesizers (any of them! I have a Tx802, FB-01, PSS-780).

I have stacks of service manuals for those who wish to trade (most casio stuff, but, other Yamaha stuff, too). I prefer to send photocopies rather than scan and Email, I have too many pages to scan (unless you want to give me an A3 scanner, then I'll post you a DVD of a few GIG of BMPs).

I make music in the band "The Reverse Engineers", we play Chip Music, Video gamey sounding stuff, and I've done solo avant garde (and one time with a partner) as Koba no Gomi (which is Japanese for Factory Rubbish - rubbish resultant from a manufacturing process or something like that).

I use Multi-tracking software on the PC, I LOVE my MDA set of VST effects ( http://mda.smartelectronix.com/effects.htm ), and I can't get enough of listening to Figurine/Dntel/Postal Service, Laurie Anderson, Steve Reich, Stockhausen (early "electronische" only - his orchestral stuff, in my opinion == total shite) and all sorts of random stuff (oh, Don't forget US GodRocker Joy Electric / Ronnie Martin).

hope to hear fom y'all and keep up on the board!

Over the years I've worked with Street Kids, Drug Addicts and Prostitues (on the streets of Perth and Melbourne), at a computer Market, in computer retail/repair. I pick up odd jobs here and there solding this, or customizing that (I modify Casio and Yamaha home keyboards - not circuit bending, though, actually using schematics and oscilloscopes to add extra functionality --customizing != adding a blue LED!!!!)

ps: I look like this: http://users.tpg.com.au/reveng/edwardo.jpg or, as my friends kid thinks I look http://users.tpg.com.au/reveng/edmaro.jpg
