Greetings from Scania! |

Hi there!
I've been a regular bedroom musician for a bit more than ten years now, fiddling with guitars, bass and a few synthesizers. I mainly compose and record in Cubase VST, either singer-songwriter stuff with guitar or synth, or instrumentals. Nowadays I do all synth stuff on my Nord Modulars, currently a G2 Engine and a Key. I keep a small archive of stuff I made at < http://www.df.lth.se/~flash/bakelit/bakelit.html >, organized in "CDs" that I've pestered my friends with. Beware: a lot of it is probably crap.
I listen to a lot of different music, among the acts I like most are Brian Eno, Boards of Canada, Ratatat, Pan Sonic, Stereo Total, and LCD Soundsystem. I'm thinking about buying some of the stuff that is on sale here at electro-music, if I can only get my PayPal account to stop timing out on me all the time...
I've recently started to visit here regularly, after reading the nord modular mailing list for a while. I have to say that this is a great resource, not only for insights into electronic music, but for a little bit of life, universe and everything else as well. Three cheers for the people who manage this site, and all who make those great contributions. Keep up the good work!

Thanks to your distinctive avatar you had been noticed already :-)
I hope to have time to check out your site later this evening.
BTW, when you leave out the special characters around the URL to your site (so that there are just spaces around it and nothing else) the link will become clickable - you can always edit your posts if you want. Sorry for this demonstration of my laziness.
Edit : nice site you got, lots of songs, listened some, not what I had expected after hearing your patches, but liked what I heard, nice voice. bookmarked this and "soft music" for a later check.
What is clickaboll ? These languages that I can't really read but that have some familiar looking words always make me very curious :-) |

Thanks for the comments
About brackets: I'll remember to leave them out in the future. When using MS Outlook, adding brackets in this way has the effect of making a URL clickable, even if there are spaces in it. Is there some kind of similar trick that you can use in a forum like this? (I know, there weren't any spaces in that link...)
Klickaboll is a competition I've had with some friends where we try to guess the outcome of World or European football cups. It's a word play thing: "Klicka boll"="Click ball" and "Kicka boll"=try to keep a football in the air with feet, knees head etc. |

Thanks for the clicka explanation. Already thought it was some betting connected with socker, but really could not be sure.
For the links you can use the BBcode tags either by pushing the button above the composition window or entering 'm directly as [URL]http://www.something.com[/URL] or [URL=htp://some.stuff.here]descriptive text[/URL]
( BBCode must be enabled then, for this post I had it disabled to show the syntax.) |
