Name's John Alexander, from Bangor, Northern Ireland. I am a student of Music Technology, starting Uni in September in that very subject.
I would generally class my music as ambient, but unlike Eno. I like chilled, atmospheric, melodic and intricate music, ranging from Squarepusher through Mogwai back out to Mum.
I've been making electronic music for about 4 years now, varying in styles such as electro-acoustic http://www.plain.btinternet.co.uk/audio/the_ir.mp3
through dance http://www.plain.btinternet.co.uk/audio/midnight_friday.mp3 to the very mellow http://www.plain.btinternet.co.uk/audio/reineys_love_of_dolphins.mp3
If you will, check out these tracks, and comment, should the music inspire you to do so.
Hello, and thanks.

Hi John, welcome.

Some years ago I was in Bangor for work, just for a day. The harbour was a good place to be, rainy, windy, better than the hotel I stayed in - all other things happened in Belfast I guess :-)

You got some nice things going on in your tracks, especiially 1st & 3d near the end.

hey man, thanx very much.
And yeah, it's true, it all happens in belfast. Bangor's where people come to retire Smile

Look forward to becoming a part of this site.

Craftid. Great to have you here.

Can't listen to your tracks right now, but I'll try to get back to them.

Music for films... avant guarde films...

I think that mix is most bass oriented... may be too much bass FQ... this is what I listen on my monitors...

Even my band [dK] have a song about dolphins...
