Amazing tracks, YILA! |

Your music is great, and so is your website. Who programmed the website? How many people are involved in this project? Is there any reason you couldn't just put out a cd yourself? I did, and although I'm much poorer now because of it, I'm glad I did it.
How many pieces of music do you have?

Hi Yila,
This is a very promising piece of work. The mix/mastering is neat, and the main guitar sound (with delay effects) is particularly nice. I like the combination of this warm and inspiring sound with the rest of the song. My concern is about your construction, it is too repetitive and too long. It seems you use short played loops that you copy/paste in your track without much evolution on the music, so the listening gets flat after a couple of minutes. It would be great if you could continue playing guitar for a few minutes prior to looping the result. I think you may also work more on the choice of your rhythmic sequences and the electronic effects you put on.
I know few people doing music (and working) the same way than you, but you are far better and you impressed me with your guitar. I think that is something you have to develop more and to be focused on (the rest will come naturally then).
Thierry. |

Hey people, thanks for the replys.
Im glad you all like it, anyone spot the funny 7 bar pattern?
U can hear more, on the arrows the eye the cloud. u can also buy from www.arkade.com
I take your loop comments on board, but the guitar is not actually a loop its me playing it like that one whole take. I spend allot of time making live things sound like samples for some reason! maybe its because im so used to playing in bands it makes a refreshing change my next track might actually be a guitiar based thing who knows it might not.
Anyone in london want to come to a gig? |

I like this too. Despite earlier comments, I have to say that I like the drum sounds. Also the various screaming bits Makes living through a horrible day at work a little bit easier. |
