BUCCIMAZZA: experimental electromusic from Africa,Europe,&am

Humberto

Hello, my name is William and I am a part of an experimental electro-accoustic project entitled BUCCIMAZZA. With members from ANGOLA, PORTUGAL, TURKEY, and the USA, we attempt to blend a broad range of genres (from Indie-Rock, Electro, Portuguese Fado, D-n-B, Ambient...) and languages (English, Turkish, Portuguese) into a new global hybrid groove. Give it a listen and please give any criticism/ideas.

Humberto, great to have you here.

It's great the you have members from so many different places. Do you get together often?

Humberto

Hello Mosc,
Yea, you can imagine, having members from all these different places presents some difficulties for working togather!! What we usually do is start an idea on our own, then send PROTOOLS sessions to one another of our idea, and collaberate/compose "long-distance." Then we meet to reherse, record, and perfom togather (usually 3/4 times a year)---usually in LISBON or in the UK.

We just met to do 2 gigs in Glasgow Scotland and one in London. But, for sure, the long-distance collaberation can be tricky----obviously, with the internet/messenger/ect, it has gotten easier. I'm sure other musicians have started trying to work with people in different countires, it can be really interesting!

Yes, I'm done a bit of collaborative stuff with people far away and in another galaxy too. Laughing

Scotland is beautiful. Lucky you got a chance to play there...

Welcome Humberto.

I listened to a few of those tracks. This is good. The production of the tracks is nice too.
