Hello Folks!
Since i cant the the right potentiometer value i thought of changeing them.
But then i took a good look at the Schematic and i think i cant replace the 1M and 500K Pots with 100K Pots since they are a part of the oscillating circuit, right?

Greetings,
Peter

If you were to use 100k you would likely lose a significant portion of the functioality or range of control, if they would work at all. The listed pots are highly recommended.

Hello and thanks for the Reply!
Thats what i tought...
Guess i will have to abandon the project in this form then. I cant get PCB mount pots with vertical alignment with that value.

Wanted to make a single PCB with everything on it, because i hate the Wiring.

Greetings,
Peter

You could use 2n5457's as shown on Ray's website in the mods section, and then feed them with CV's from 100K pots. Kind of redundant, but might work for ya.

I'm of the opinion that you use what you got - and see what happens. Experimentation is part of the fun....

Build it!

Yeah, I agree with RF.
The R/C ratios for the oscillators are just that. You get a certain frequency range for a certain pot/capacitor value. (I think it's something like 2pi*R*C) So if you make the pot 1/10th the value, just make the cap 10* the value. If the only pot you have is twice the size, halve the value for the cap.
It's not as simple as that on the filter, but the components hanging off the 40106 are very tweakable. Very Happy
