New Music for Listening |

|
Hi
If you guys don’t mind spending a few mins listening to some of my tracks 'online'
then please visit my website at:
www.shanesloan.co.uk
It’s a real mixture of styles from lounge, trance and heavier experimental stuff.
would be great if you would give me a listen and maybe a little feedback .
cheers

Shane. Glad to have you here.
You have a very extensive site. The music sounds good too. I listened to a couple of your tracks.
I'm not fond of the RA streaming - it takes a long time to buffer compared to mp3 streaming via QuickTime. _________________ --Howard

Thanks for the welcome!
Glad you liked what you heard.
I'll have to look into that mp3 streaming a bit more using quicktime if thats faster then realplayer. Thanks for advice.
You can download the mp3's however and use a normal mp3 player (better quality hifi) just takes longer to download especially if you only have dial up like me!
Cheers for now
Shane

Well, here's the thing. If you just post a link to an mp3 file, then a user with QuickTime loaded will play it in streaming mode, automatically buffering the music and playing it on the fly.
It's possible to post two mp3 files, one at low bandwidth for the dialup users, and one at high bandwidth for everyone else.
I think a lot of people just come to expect direct links to mp3s and they don't want to wait for a dowload, their being so much music to listen to on the internet. _________________ --Howard

That sounds a pretty good idea to me having a low bandwidth stream and a higher bandwidth stream for the fortunate and the less fortunate bitstreamers!
Cheers again for advice
