More of Pellejones' music - Cheap, Sweep & Sequencer (c. |
|
|
Hi guys!
I found some tracks on my HD that I had forgot about completely. I might have posted them before sometime but if I did it was along time ago.
Please have a go at them! My name for the project is Newbi-RSK. The music style (on the first two) is what I would call, inspired by games but with some 80-90 feel. The third is more... well... I don't know.
You've just got to love my drum sequencing in Cheap and Sweep!
Here they are anyways:
Cheap
Sweep

Enjoy!! and most of all, comment! Seraph, Electro80 and mosc! You guys always give constructive critisism!
*edit*
Oh yes! I have a website too for this project ehhe

And here's some art for the songs

Nice tracks, I like them. Like you say, they are your older stuff.
Good timbres, interesting sounds. I like the Sequencer one the best but it's very short. _________________ --Howard

I think there must have been a bit of local network problems for Seraf. It worked very nicely for me. _________________ --Howard

This is nicely produced electro. Energetic sounding drums (very 80s!) and good melodies. "Sweep" in particular has a very strong melody which gets caught right in your head. All instruments used are good.
However, it all seems a bit run-of-the-mill. Given your earlier musical offering, I'd been hoping for something really special and feel a little disappointed in that regard. The tracks just seem quite typical of the genre and lack imagination a little for me - I guess I was hoping for stronger ideas, more changes and little bit of bam-de-bam tssh tssh whack-a-chow bazoom! every so often. I suppose I just think you're someone who could deliver something pretty out of the ordinary, which to me this isn't.
Of course, I'm making assumptions about your intentions in making this music - I could be completely wrong. Feel free to tell me to bugger off.
Having said all that, I think Sweep is really rather good and I reckon I will keep listening to it.
Cheers

It wasn't meant to be anything new. But I must say that you saying:
| Quote: | | I suppose I just think you're someone who could deliver something pretty out of the ordinary, which to me this isn't. | is a huge compliment! By that I mean that you have high expectations of me and you apparently think I am talanted. So it's ok that you find these two little thinges ordinary hehe
As you know my main genre for music isn't really electro, so these three songs were my first attemt. Now, I have something I just threw together (without any thought or anything) in 30 mins or an hour. (alltho this song I am sure has been posted before!)
I can't really say it's ground breaking, but it's an electro song with some "analogue" drums that could be better.
Here it is:

(I figured I could post this short thing too)
It's cold out side.mp3
It's like I said before. I try to cover many aspects of music for fun. |

Like I said, the assumption I made about your intention could render my criticism invalid. And if these are just messarounds, they're very good.
Yes, I did have high expectations after the soundtrack you posted before!
More comments when I've digested these other two. _________________ This message was brought to you from Beyond The Grave. |

I'm listening to "Cheap" now! Sounds like music from the 80's. Well done but I prefer your cinematic efforts
It's very nice, though _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

"Sequencer" is below your standard

Hehe yes I do learn quickly And thanks for the comment on Sweep! I like it too.
Yes sequencer is not my strongest song I know. I just had to give it a try. I will do some more stuff.
BTW, I've got some more Movie score type of music coming up! I've got to start making parts of the score for the Vendetta movie before he starts shooting it.
And yes, I think you are making yourself clear hehehe |
