Subject description: volume too low

Hi,

I am new to this board and new to this sort of project. I have just completed a WSG kit and everything seems to be working fine. The only issue I am having is that the volume is really low.

Plugged into a 50 watt amp (at 3/4 volume) it is about as loud as a fan. When i touch various connections (potentiometer or switches) the particular sound gets louder and but the other voice remains quiet and other functionality remains quiet.

Do you have any suggestions on a remedy? I assume I am just not doing something right. Let me know if I should give any more information.

thanks

steve

Check your ground paths. I believe this behavior has, in the past, been found to be a missing ground connection or two.

thanks for the reply. I checked all wiring and everything seems to be in place. I am not sure what else to do.

just in case anyone is as confused as i am...it turns out the output jack was bent just enough to make a connection but it was really weak. I bent it slightly inward and problem is fixed.

Well done! Glad it's working.

It's a fun instrument.
