New psytrance track online! |
 |
|
Hiya!
After a "creative break" I've spend several days creating and trying to perfectionize my newest track. It's a fast and hard Trance track with a pumping bassline and wierd, spaced-out synths. Dunno if anyone liking psytrance here, but just listen. If you like chopped synths, it might be worth a listen for you
so, here's the link:
http://www.yaq-monnith.de/puritania/cybernetica_-_lithium_crystal.mp3
It's 9'05'' long at 160 kbps. Enjoy |

A groovy track. Very nice. I like it better than most Psytrance I've heard, but I'm not much of an expert, unfortunately.
I am friends with some Psytrance mavens; Star Sounds Orchestra, consisting of Jens Zygar and former Tangerine Dream member Steve Schroyder. Maybe you know them. They turned me onto this kind of music back in 02.
One thing that came as a surprise to me is that Psytrance is very serious music. It's intended to raise the consciousness of the listener more than entertain them. There is quite a serious movement around this music. Psytrance parties are not just excuses for people to get loaded on various drugs and be driven mindless by the music, they are actually intended to be spriritual experiences. I hope some day to attend one of these parties. I guess most of them are in Germany. |

Thank you, mosc.
Of coure I know them! They're brilliant musicians. Sometimes I think too brilliant for this world
I've been on a psy festival some weeks ago here in germany. It was my first one and it was an unbelievable experience. When the music invades your brain and starts to take control over your body, you don't need drugs, get alone high by the music |

I guess that's the driving philosophy for Psytrance - a worthy one. Certainly better than "you have to take drugs to really dig this music".
If you run into Jens and Steve, please send them over here.
Keep those Psytrance pieces coming.... |

Yes, I'd claim 50% of the so called psychedelic scene regularly consume drugs. As long as they just take their pills, it's not my problem, and there's the fact that without hallucinogenic drugs there wouldn't be the genres goa and psytrance, just because it's extremely doubtful whether you can invent such a music style when being 'clean'...
Whatever... at the moment I'm having a small break, just because i need that after each of my tracks. |

Evening Lars
Thanks for the track. I enjoyed it over some ironing.
I really like psy-trance. It is powerful and elegant and jolly good fun to boot. Moreover, whenever I've been out to nights that play this sort of music, people still do that dance where they pretend they're looking for things on a shelf, or doing a rubik's cube. A noble tradition and long may it continue.
The best psy-trance I ever heard was on a freebie CD that came with a magazine. It was from a label called Bionic Orgazm productions, who were from Wales if memory serves. It was absolutely blinding. Are they well known on the psy-trance circuit?
Anyway, good track, most enjoyable.
Cheers

Wasn't he also the main man behind 90s dance types System 7? Not my cup of tea to be honest, but then again, neither were the Orb. _________________ This message was brought to you from Beyond The Grave. |
