OK fellas, I have a question and maybe we can figure out what the heck is going on.

I am running Ableton Live 6.0.1 as VSTi host to Spectrasonics Stylus RMX version 1.5. I am using a Behringer BCR2000 as my remote controller. When I LEARN all the various controls inside of Abelton, everything works great. What I mean by this is that I can assign remote functions to all of Ableton's instruments including core functions like clip and scene launching ... etc ... The newly assigned rotary or switch controls the software parameter just fine and the new control is added to my MIDI MAP.

Here is when I run into trouble. If I open an instance of Stylus RMX in a MIDI slot and display it's native skin, for some reason I am NOT able to assign any control from my Behringer unit to any slider or switch on the RMX interface Confused I follow the procedure to the letter (In the Stylus interface: MIDI LEARN > LEARN CONTROL > then I CLICK ON A STYLUS SLIDER I WANT TO CONTROL FOR EXAMPLE > THEN I ROTATE ONE OF THE ROTARY CONTROLS ON THE BCR2000 TO COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENT) ... It does not seem to take. The demo video on how to do this on the Spectrasonics website shows exactly what I am doing and it works straight away.

I am not sure what host they were running but apparently it's not Ableton LIVE! I think they are using Logic ......

Any ideas Question Question

Bill

Is the MIDI track activated for recording? (ie - the little MIDI connector looking shape is clicked and not green but is RED). MIDI will only pass down into a track if it is enabled like this.
